Equilateral:
Inequilateral, beaks slightly behind the midline.
Outline:
Subovate, extended anteriorly; posterior slope long gently curving to rounded posterior; ventral rather long almost straight; anterior rounded, anterior dorsal margin slightly concave.
Sculpture:
Of co-marginal lines but periostracum drawn out into radial rows of short triangular bristles.
Margin:
Inner margin smooth.
Ligament:
Primarily internal, large, set on a shallow posteriorly directed resilifer; small external band set on a shallow nymph.
Hinge:
Hinge teeth strong, two cardinals in each valve anterior of ligament pit, anterior largest in LV, posterior largest in RV.
Pallial Musculature:
Pallial line entire, broad; adductor scars large.
Periostracum:
Perisotracum persistent around margins, straw coloured and drawn out into radial rows of bristles.
Colour:
Shell white.
