Notes on Nomenclature
To size:
To 5mm.
Shell Structure:
Thin.
Equivalve:
Equivalve.

Equilateral.
Tumidity:
Compressed.
Outline:
Body of shell subovate; anterior rounded but rather angular; ventral weakly curved to almost straight with maximum height below beaks; posterior ventral margin weakly sinuous. Rostrum elongate, with a long straight to upturned dorsal margin. Posterior roundly truncate.
Contour:
Posterior sinus broad and rather shallow.
Sculpture:
Of up to twelve widely spaced concentric lamellae over body of shell these fading towards the rostrum; rostrum almost lacking sculpture some with faint radial lines. Shell overall microscopically pustulose, most obvious in juveniles.
Margin:
Inner margin smooth.
Ligament:
Internal on a small posterior projecting resilifer.
Hinge:
Apparently lacking teeth, but some shells with a weak posterior flange in the RV.
Pallial Musculature:
Obscure.
Periostracum:
Obscure.
Colour:
Shell white.
