To size: To 6mm. Shell Structure: Brittle, rather thin. Equivalve: Equivalve. Equilateral: Inequilateral, beaks well in front of midline. Tumidity: Compressed. Outline: Subovate somewhat wedge-shaped, anterior rounded and much narrower than obliquely truncate posterior; posterior dorsal margin long, almost straight; ventral margin long, almost straight. distinctly keeled along line from beak to posterior-ventral margin.
Sculpture: Surface dull, with commarginal lines and growth stops. Margin: Inner margin smooth. Ligament: External, set on a raised nymph. Hinge: Lacking teeth. Pallial Musculature: Scars weakly impressed, indistinct but adductor muscles subequal, pallial line entire. Periostracum: Thin, but persistent, minutely wrinkled and with a rust coloured deposit. Colour: Shell off-white, translucent.
