Remarks
Sowerby 3rd, 1875:
“Specimen unique in the collection of Dr. Prevost.”
Originally named Conus multilineatus Sowerby (3rd), 1875. Renamed Conus polygrammus by Tomlin in 1937 as it was preoccupied by C. multilineatus Pechioli, 1864. This specimen is therefore the holotype for both names.
