Remarks:
Ancey (1883c: 210) introduced this taxon as ‘Var. γ microconus’ and gave a brief description and measurements.
Type evidence:
The NMW lot has a label which we tentatively consider to be Dautzenberg’s; it has ‘i.l.’ after the variety name indicating in litteris. Tomlin has written it is ex Ancey, which is confirmed on Geret’s sales list, and it is from the type locality. Tomlin also queries that it is a type. The RBINS lot has a Dautzenberg label stating it is Geret ex Ancey and is also from the type locality.
