Remarks

Type evidence:
The NMW specimen has an Ancey type label bearing the type locality. Geret’s sales list indicates that a type specimen was meant for Connolly, but it has Tomlin’s initials by it and ‘type unique’. It can be assumed that this is the one in Tomlin’s collection. Ancey (1886e: 51-52) did not indicate a unique type in his description. Measurements are given in the paper; the NMW specimen matches them closely, but not exactly.
