Remarks

Type evidence:
The NMW material is from the type locality of Port Elizabeth. Pain has written ‘P.T.’ (indicating paratype) on his label and there is also a small typed 'Paratype' label, however, there is no designation of a unique type in the original description. In the introduction of Morelet's paper he states that the material he describes was collected by Crawford and is in the collection of Ponsonby; this could be the meaning of the abbreviation 'C. P.' on Tom Pain's label. The material has been listed as possible syntypes by Breure et al., 2018.

The species was originally introduced under the name
Ennea natalensis on page 11 but this was preoccupied by Craven so on p. 200 Morelet rectifies this and gives it the name E. pentodon.

Note: Connolly (1939: 74) states 'Type in British Museum'.
