To size: To 20mm. Shell Structure: Solid. Equivalve: Equivalve. Equilateral: Inequilateral, beaks to posterior. Tumidity: Tumid. Outline: Circular to ovate, posterior dorsal margin short, posterior and anterior margins broadly rounded, anterior-dorsal margin slightly concave. Contour: Short, shallow lunule, slightly longer, just as shallow escutcheon.
Sculpture: Concentric lines, radial lines. Growth stages clear. Margin: Crenulate. Ligament: Small, pale ligament reaching halfway to posterior. Hinge: Two cardinals in each valve and single anterior and posterior laterals in both valves. Pallial Musculature: No pallial sinus. Pallial line continuous. Anterior adductor longer and narrower than posterior. Periostracum: Thin, beige. Colour: White.
