Morphology
Shape
Valves cymbelloid with convex dorsal margin, very slightly convex ventral margin and rostrate, ventrally deflected ends.
Symmetry
Dorsiventral.
Striae
Striae dorsally slighty radiate, ventrally radiate in the central section becoming parallel towards the poles, areolae hardly visible in LM, elongate along the apical axis.
Axial area
Narrow, straight.
Central area
Not differentiated from the axial area.
Raphe
Appears slightly curved, displaced ventrally, with expanded, slightly dorsally bent proximal endings, and short, curved to hook-shaped ventrally deflected terminal fissures near the poles.
