Valves elliptic with rostrate or weakly subcapitate ends.
Symmetry
Isopolar, bilaterally symmetrical.
Striae
More or less parallel throughout valve, 17-25 in 10 µm, areolae not visible in LM.
Axial area
Narrow linear.
Central area
Indistinct or narrow elliptic.
Raphe
Filiform with slightly expanded proximal raphe ends.
