Morphology
Size
8-17 µm long, 3-5 µm wide (Lange-Bertalot et al. 2017); 9.7-13.0 µm long, 3.9-4.3 µm wide (Ector et al. 2015).
Shape
Linear-elliptic with centrally inflated valve margins and broadly rounded ends.
Symmetry
Isopolar, bilaterally symmetrical.
Striae
Striae slightly radiate, 32-40 in 10 µm (Lange-Bertalot et al. 2017), 32-36 in 10 µm (Ector et al. 2015).
Axial area
Narrow, linear.
Central area
Small, rounded.
Raphe
Straight with slightly expanded central ends; raphe slits enclosed in narrow, longitudinal ribs.
8-17 µm long, 3-5 µm wide (Lange-Bertalot et al. 2017); 9.7-13.0 µm long, 3.9-4.3 µm wide (Ector et al. 2015).
Shape
