Valves elliptic-lanceolate with hardly protracted rounded ends.
Symmetry
Isopolar, bilaterally symmetrical.
Striae
Punctate, parallel at the valve centre, becoming slightly convergent, slightly radiate at the valve ends.
Axial area
Narrow, linear, continuing to the valve apices, which do not bear striae.
Central area
Very slightly expanded, elongate and slightly asymmentrical, without or with a very small constriction.
Raphe
Straight with t-shaped proximal and distal ends. Internally with longitudinal ribs on both sides of the raphe which fuse with a long helictoglossa to form a medium-sized porte-crayon.
