Morphology
Size
Length 20-60 µm, width 3-5 µm (Hofmann et al. 2011).
Shape
Valves narrowly lanceolate, tapering gradually to acute apices.
Symmetry
Isopolar, bilaterally symmetrical.
Striae
Very fine, not visible in LM.
Other features
Fibula slightly irregularly spaced, not wider spaced in the valve centre, 9-12 in 10 µm (Hofmann et al. 2011).
SEM morphology
Raphe continuous, hook-shaped at the valve ends.
Length 20-60 µm, width 3-5 µm (Hofmann et al. 2011).
