Morphology
Size
14-50 µm long, 3-4 µm wide (Lange-Bertalot et al. 2011).
Shape
Valves arcuate, ends protracted, subcapitate to capitate.
Symmetry
Dorsiventral, isopolar.
Striae
Striae parallel, evenly spaced throughout valve, 16-20 in 10 µm (Lange-Bertalot et al. 2011).
Raphe
Raphe mostly located on mantle, short terminal fissures curve onto valve face close to valve ends.
14-50 µm long, 3-4 µm wide (Lange-Bertalot et al. 2011).
Shape
