Shape
Valves elliptic-lanceolate with broadly rounded ends, not or only slightly protracted.
Symmetry
Isopolar, heterovalvar.
Striae
Raphe valve: radiate throughout; rapheless valve: more or less parallel in valve centre becoming radiate towards valve ends.
Axial area
Narrow, filiform on both valves.
Central area
Raphe valve: central area transvere elliptical or rectangular ; rapheless valve: central area absent.

Straight, filiform with expanded proximal raphe ends.
