Morphology

Size
4.0-7.0 µm long from apex to valve centre (type population, Van de Vijver & Guiry 2022).

Shape
Valves triangular with straight, slightly concave or convex margins, and rostrate or subcapitate apices; shape sometimes irregular.

Symmetry
Triradiate.

Striae
Striae more or less parallel, 14-16 in 10 µm (type population Van de Vijver & Guiry 2022).

Central area
Central area triangular extending as narrow linear sterna towards apices.
