As a taxonomic expert centre, the Department of Biodiversity & Systematic Biology is applying its expertise to the development of web-based taxonomic tools to help aid in the identification of the world's biodiversty.
A number of specialist online identification guides and illustrated checklists have already been launched and additional websites will be forthcoming in the near future.
