Shape
Valves linear-lanceolate with protracted rostrate, sometimes slightly subcapitate apices.

Symmetry
Isopolar, bilaterally symmetrical.

Striae
Not visible in LM.

Other features
Fibulae short and fine, interfibular spaces often slightly larger, can be slightly irregular; fibulae not more widely spaced at centre.
