Thin but robust.
Equivalve:
Equivalve.
Equilateral:
Subequilateral, beaks just in front of the midline.
Outline:
Subtrigonal, posterior slope long to rounded posterior ventral margin; ventral almost straight; anterior broadly rounded, slightly concave at beaks.
Sculpture:
Smooth, with very fine co-marginal lines; some with weak radial creasing at the posterior and anterior ventral margins.
Margin:
Smooth but weakly crenulate if radial creases are present.
Ligament:
Internal in a narrow triangular pit beneath the beaks.
Hinge:
Hinge teeth prominent; RV with a large triangular tooth anterior of ligament pit, a large laminar tooth posterior of pit with a small laminar tooth above; LV with a short vertical laminar tooth anterior, a larger oblique laminar tooth anterior of pit and a single large laminar tooth posterior of pit.
Pallial Musculature:
Pallial line wide, entire with small secondary pallial scars; adductor scars small.
Periostracum:
Periostracum persistent, glossy, yellowish to olive in colour.
Colour:
Shell white.
