Shell Structure:
Solid.
Equivalve:
Slightly inequivalve, RV more convex than LV.
Equilateral:
Inequilateral, beaks in front of midline.
Tumidity:
Not tumid.
Outline:
Narrowly ovate/elongate, posterior margin angular, almost truncate.
Contour:
Posterior gape.
Sculpture:
Concentric lines and ridges, fine radial lines.
Margin:
Smooth.
Ligament:
Large, prominent dark band extending around a fifth of way to posterior margin.
Hinge:
2 cardinals in each valve; in LV anterior large, prominent, bifid, posterior tiny, thin; in RV anterior larger than posterior, although both are prominent and bifid. No laterals.
Pallial Musculature:
Deep pallial sinus, to beneath umbones, confluent with pallial line for half the length of sinus. Cruciform muscle barely visible.
Periostracum:
Thick, dark brown/greenish-brown.
Colour:
White/cream with pink/purple rays of varying widths.
