To size: To 3.6 mm. Shell Structure: Fragile, translucent. Equivalve: Equivalve. Equilateral: Inequilateral, anteriorly oblique. Tumidity: Moderately inflated. Outline: Obliquely oval; posterior margin broadly rounded, anterior margin weakly curved; ventral margin broadly rounded.

Sculpture: 8-9 sharp, fine riblets on anterior, elsewhere with 14-16 raised striations at margins. Intersections of concentric growth lines and anterior riblets give rise to small spines on crests. Ligament: Elongate lozenge shaped on relatively narrow cardinal area. Hinge: Hinge plate on either side of resilifer smooth. Pallial Musculature: Mostly obscure. Periostracum: Thin, obscure. Colour: White.

Distribution & Ecology

Known only from the south of the study area in around 200m.

Additional Comments

This form is very similar to juveniles of Limaria hians and perhaps also Limatula loscombi. It should perhaps not be placed in Limatula.
