To size: To 3.6 mm. Shell Structure: Fragile, translucent. Equivalve: Equivalve. Equilateral: Inequilateral, anteriorly oblique. Tumidity: Moderately inflated. Outline: Obliquely oval; posterior margin broadly rounded, anterior margin weakly curved; ventral margin broadly rounded.
Sculpture: 8-9 sharp, fine riblets on anterior, elsewhere with 14-16 raised striations at margins. Intersections of concentric growth lines and anterior riblets give rise to small spines on crests. Ligament: Elongate lozenge shaped on relatively narrow cardinal area. Hinge: Hinge plate on either side of resilifer smooth. Pallial Musculature: Mostly obscure. Periostracum: Thin, obscure. Colour: White.
