To size: To 9mm. Shell Structure: Thin, semitransparent. Equivalve: RV slightly more convex and smaller than LV. Equilateral: Inequilateral. Outline: Subcircular, slightly longer than high (umbonal angle ca. 120°). Ears about equal, posterior deeper and a little longer than anterior. Contour: RV anterior ear with distinct but small byssal notch, ctenolium absent.
Sculpture: Both valves smooth with faint co-marginal growth lines. Anterior auricles with weak co-marginal lirae, posterior auricles as disc. Margin: Inner margin smooth. Colour: Semi-transparent, tinged yellowish to pale brown and with white opaque blotches or radial streaks.
