To size: To 10 mm. Shell Structure: Fragile, translucent. Equivalve: LV slightly more convex than RV. Equilateral: Almost equilateral. Tumidity: Very compressed. Outline: Disc circular; ears almost equal in size, anterior ears distinct from disc, posterior ears merged with disc. Byssal notch moderately deep, ctenolium absent.
Sculpture: Of wide co-marginal undulations, most developed on LV, no microsculpture. Colour: Semitransparent, white.
Distribution & Ecology
Lives in soft sediments. Has been recorded from southwest of Ireland and Bay of Biscay in bathyal and abyssal depths.
