Remarks
Current name:
Hans Turner (May, 1989) has commented on a note with this specimen that Mitra pruinosa Reeve, 1844 is preoccupied by M. pruinosa Kuster, 1840 and that the valid name for this species is Neocanilla hebes (Reeve, 1845), of which this specimen is a juvenile. This has been confirmed by Manfred Herrmann (pers. comm.). It is not a synonym of Domiporta sigillata as erroneously stated by Robin & Martin (2004).
