To size: To 1.6mm. Shell Structure: Thin, opaque. Equivalve: Equivalve. Equilateral: Very slightly inequilateral, beaks just infront of midline. Tumidity: Moderately inflated. Outline: Subcircular, posterior a little narrower than anterior; ventral margin slightly straightening. Contour: Even.

Sculpture: Of regularly spaced fine concentric ridges. Margin: Inner margin smooth. Hinge: Both valves with single minute oblique cardinals and single anterior and posterior laterals. Pallial Musculature: Obscure. Periostracum: Indistinct. Colour: Shell white some with a light ferruginous deposit.

Distribution & Ecology

Sporadic, English and Bristol Channels, SW Ireland, SW Scotland.
