To size: To 13mm. Shell Structure: Solid. Equivalve: Equivalve. Equilateral: Almost equilateral, beaks to anterior slightly. Tumidity: Fairly tumid. Outline: Almost circular, posterior dorsal margin broadly rounded, anterior dorsal margin concave. Contour: Short lunule deeply set.

Sculpture: Lines diverging from centre of shell. Growth stages clear. Margin: Finely crenulate. Ligament: Deeply inset between a quarter and a third the length of the posterior dorsal margin and about 30° angle to posterior margin. Hinge: RV one large protruding cardinal, two small laterals, LV two cardinals and double anterior and posterior laterals. Pallial Musculature: No pallial sinus, pallial line continuous. Adductors equal sized. Periostracum: Very thin, straw coloured. Colour: White.

Very sporadic, known only from a few localities in the SW, mostly Scilly and Channel Is.
