Tebble name: Psiloteredo megotara (Forbes & Hanley)
Smith & Heppell name: Psiloteredo megotara (Hanley in Forbes & Hanley, 1848)

Pallets not segmented, almost entirely calcareous; Blade broadly oval with a moderate thumb-nail like depression that is transversely striated. The posterior slope of the shell is moderate to large and flared.
