To size: To 20mm. Shell Structure: Rather thin, fragile, transluscent. Equivalve: Equivalve. Equilateral: Equilateral. Tumidity: Rather tumid. Outline: Subcircular, height and length more or less equal, umbos prosogyrate, lunule margin concave, relatively short; posterior margin weakly bisinuate; ventral and anterior broadly rounded. Posterior dorsal area weakly bisulcate; submarginal sulcus shallow demarcating a long low auricle; posterior sulcus shallow. Lunule distinct as a smooth area defined by change in sculpture but lacking any defining ridge or groove.
Sculpture: Of weak undulations, fine commarginal lines and occasional raised threads especially over posterior and anterior areas. Margin: Inner margin smooth. Ligament: Ligament deeply sunken not rising above the shell margin; relatively short "ligament/MaxD" = 0.30. Hinge: Lacking teeth. Pallial Musculature: Muscle scars indistinct, hardly visible in most shells; anterior adductor scar elongate separated from the pallial line for over half its length. Periostracum: Very thin, transparent. Colour: Shell off white.
