Inequilateral. Beaks in front of midline.

Outline:
Triangular. Lunule heart-shaped, poorly-defined. Escutcheon elliptical, extensive, almost reaching posterior margin.
Sculpture:
Few (around 10) concentric ridges/lamellae.
Margin:
Finely crenulate.
Ligament:
Concealed, extends a third of way to posterior margin.
Hinge:
3 cardinals in each valve. No laterals.
Pallial Musculature:
Pallial sinus shallow and triangular.
Periostracum:
Thin, matt.
Colour:
White/yellow/pink/purple/brown occasionally with lines/rays/streaks/blotches. Internal white, sometimes tinted purple.
