To size: To 7mm. Shell Structure: Robust but translucent. Equivalve: Equivalve. Equilateral: Inequilateral, beaks more or less on midline. Tumidity: Moderately inflated. Outline: Body of shell ovate; anterior sloping moderately, curved; ventral curved. Rostrum short approximately equal to length of body, narrowly triangular, dorsal slope weakly concave, ventral margin weakly concave corresponding to weak sulcus at junction of rostrum and body.
Sculpture: Of fine regularly spaced concentric ridges and growth stops, a rounded radial carina separates the body from the rostrum and 2-3 weak radial ridges on the rostrum. Margin: Inner margin smooth. Ligament: Internal, on a narrow, posteriorly directed, chondrophore. Hinge: Teeth absent. Pallial Musculature: Indistinct. Periostracum: Lamellar, persistent on rostrum and ventral areas, light brown-greyish to rusty brown. Colour: Greyish white.
