To size: To 8 mm. Shell Structure: Fragile, translucent. Equivalve: Equivalve. Equilateral: Inequilateral, beaks close to the anterior margin. Tumidity: Moderate. Outline: Modioliform, narrow height to length ratio, posterior slightly expanded, posterior dorsal and ventral margins subparallel, posterior obliquely curved, anterior narrowly rounded.
Sculpture: Smooth with weak concentric growth lines, some with a few irregular radial corrugations over the median area. Margin: Inner margin smooth. Ligament: External, a thin band behind the beaks. Hinge: Hinge plate narrow, 10-12 crenulations below and in front of beaks; 15-20 crenulations behind the ligament with traces of crenulations beneath ligament. Pallial Musculature: Obscure. Periostracum: Thin, silky, tan in colour and drawn out into sparse, long, simple bristles over the posterior area. Colour: Shell white.
