Outline:
Oval; posterior margin broadly rounded, anterior margin almost straight, curving to a narrowly curved ventral margin. Ears short, anterior slightly more visible than posterior. Dorsal margin straight. Height to length ratio is 7:10.
Sculpture:
Of 22-26 radial ribs, median ribs closely spaced, lateral ribs approximately twice as wide apart and becoming obscured towards the dorsal areas.
Margin:
Extensions of ribs give a wave-crest appearance to margin.
Ligament:
In a large, wide triangular reslifer.
Hinge:
Lacking teeth.
Pallial Musculature:
Obscure.
Periostracum:
Thin, pale but frequently carrying a rusty deposit.
Colour:
White.
