Thin, usually with some ferruginous coating.
Equivalve:
Equivalve.
Equilateral:
Inequilateral, beaks toward the posterior.
Outline:
Subelliptical, anteriorly elongate. Anterior narrowly rounded; posterior dorsal margin straight, very short angled with oblique posterior and narrowly rounded posterior ventral margin.
Sculpture:
Smooth with very fine co-marginal lines.
Margin:
Inner margin smooth.
Ligament:
Internal in a deep pit beneath and behind the beaks.
Hinge:
RV with a single anterior cardinal; LV with a single anterior lateral.
Pallial Musculature:
Pallial line wide, entire.
Periostracum:
Thin.
Colour:
Shell white.
